Go check out the Chanute Art Gallery's Festival of Trees from November 19th through December 15th, and vote for your favorite tree! The library's theme this year is "Deck the Halls With Books and Balls" and features book recommendations from our staff. Enjoy a festive stroll (and vote for us)!

We had so much fun at our wreath workshop! We’re looking forward to round two tomorrow night!
Did you hear? We`re bringing back our "Black Friday" book sale this year!
From November 18th through the 30th, stock up on our book sale items for only 10 cents each! They make great gifts AND help your favorite local library -- a real win-win!
Our Homebound Delivery Service got a glow-up last week when we received these gorgeous, sturdy tote bags. Thank you to Animal Medical Center, Cardinal Drug Store & Girts, and Young`s Welding for making these snazzy bags possible (also, they match the green trim on our historic Depot building -- talk about being fashionable!).
Do you have outstanding fines for late, lost, or damaged Chanute items? We are still running our annual "Food for Fines" food drive! It`s easy-peasy: bring in pantry items, receive credit toward those Chanute items. Each canned good (or 3 ramen packets) is $1 off your Chanute fines, and does something good for our community at the same time!
Congratulations to our Adult Services Librarian Chanelle Gontarz! She received an Excellence Award for Outstanding Staff from the Southeast Kansas Library System. Chanelle has worked hard getting our Homebound program up and running, implemented many successful adult programs, and has helped tremendously with our social media presence. Congrats Chanelle! We appreciate all the hard work you do!

The library will be closing at 1pm today for staff training. We will see you tomorrow when we reopen with our regular hours!
