We are excited to start a new program and bring back some popular programs! You don’t have to travel far to have a fun spring break!

In case you missed our earlier announcement, we have opened our seed library once again! Stop by the library and get a jumpstart on your summer garden with free seeds! Seeds are limited to 3 packets per person per visit.

We’re also excited to start our first Chess Club! If you are interested in learning chess or honing your chess playing skills, come play with our professional chess sets every Wednesday from 4-6 pm starting on March 12th.

Don’t miss our kids events during spring break: Story Time, Movie Day, and Kids Crafts!

Lastly, we are bringing back our 2nd Annual Puzzle Tournament! Thanks to a generous donation from the puzzle company Ravensburger, participants can team up and race to finish a 300-piece puzzle and keep their puzzles as prizes! Participants need to sign up as teams with an adult team captain. To sign up or learn more, ask our Outreach and Adult Services Librarian, Chanelle Gontarz, at 620-431-3820.

  • Thursday, March 6th from 4-5 pm: Legos. Ages 6 & up.
  • Thursday, March 6th from 4-7 pm: Stitchin’ Time.
  • Thursday, March 6th from 4-5 pm: Adult Crafts: No-Sew Sock Bunnies. Ages 12 & up.
  • Friday, March 7th at 10 am: Rhyme Time. Babies and toddlers.
  • Tuesday, March 11th at 10 am: Story Time. Ages 3-4.
  • Tuesday, March 11th at 5 pm: Library Board Meeting.
  • Wednesday, March 12th from 4-6 pm: Chess Club. Ages 12 & up.
  • Thursday, March 13th from 4-7 pm: Stitchin’ Time.
  •  Friday, March 14th at 10 am: Rhyme Time. Babies and toddlers.
  •  Saturday, March 15th from 1-3 pm: 2nd Annual Puzzle Tournament at Central Park Pavilion. Must be pre-registered. All ages.
  •  Tuesday, March 18th at 10 am: Story Time. Ages 3-4.
  •  Tuesday, March 18th from 4-5 pm: Tween Scene. Ages 10 & up.
  •  Wednesday, March 19th at 2 pm: Movie. Movie TBA. All ages.
