We are so pleased with how the Everything Chocolate Sale went on Friday, February 14th! As usual, we had a large crowd ready to knock down our front door at 9 am and, boy, did the chocolates fly out the door! It was pure chaos for that first hour, we couldn’t bring out the treats fast enough! Luckily, things slowed down a little bit, then things picked right back up over the lunch hour.

Even though I think we had just as much as we did in years previous, we sold out for the first time before 1 pm! All that was left at the end of the day were a few crumbs and hopefully many bellies filled with delicious homemade treats.

Thank you to everyone who shopped our sale. We made over $1,500 for the Friends of the Library group, which in turn, helps fund special projects and programs at the library. We are so grateful for the support of our Friends and community members who help out every year, including those who buy all our wonderful treats!

I’d like to personally thank all of our wonderful volunteers, who baked, wrapped, and helped sell our delicious treats: Linda Springer, Sherryl Stanfield, Judy Maxwell, Jasmine Phillips, Nancy Brooks, Sandy Roecker, Charlotte Clum, Alexandra Moerlien, Abbi Quinn, Connie Woodard, Arlene Hasty, Sheri Calhoon, Mari Hutson, Anne Ranz, Millie Murdock, Anita Delatorre, Jean Bearrick, Judy Moyer, June Cathers, Deanne Schoenberger, Jean Shepard, Kathy Blair, DeeAnn Parsons, Cheryl Day, Kristin Roach, Mary Daniels, Catherine Delgado, Bob Linke, Judy Maxwell, Trudi Cooper, along with any others not named that still helped out; and of course the FOCL Executive Board, Carrie LaRue, Cindy Morrison, Susan Willis, and Linda Sigler.

Up next for FOCL is our annual meeting on Thursday, February 27th, where members can hear all about the wonderful things FOCL has accomplished this year and more to come!
