Join us for TNT Crafts, adult crafts, a marionette show, the Nutty Professor, and Solar Cooking!

As a reminder, the library will close on Saturday, July 2nd at 1 pm. The library will be closed Monday, July 4th and reopen on Tuesday, July 5th.

  • Monday, June 27th @ 2 pm – TNT Crafts: Join us for our new Tween ‘N’ Teen crafts! We are making sand art jars and decorating different seashells! Ages 10 & up.
  • Monday, June 27th @ 2 pm – Crafts with Kaleigh: Come craft with librarian Kaleigh Wilson! For patrons ages 13 & older. If you have any questions, please call Kara or Kaleigh.
  • Every Tuesday @ 10 am – Story Time: Join us for our outside storytime! Listen to stories about the ocean and the animals that live there, sing songs, and do fingerplays!
  • Tuesday, June 28th @ 2 pm – Rhodes Family Marionette Show: The Rhodes Family is back again to perform a special marionette show, David and Goliath! All ages, located outside the depot. For bad weather, we will move inside to the upstairs children’s department.
  • Wednesday, June 29th @ 10 am – Glenda Bruner, Watercolor Class, 6th-8th grades: Come and learn how to paint with water colors with retired CES art teacher, Glenda Bruner! This session is for tweens entering 6th-8th grades in the fall. Participants must be pre-registered. Registration starts May 31st and ends June 27th.
  • Thursday, June 30th @ 10 am – The Nutty Professor: Come and watch fun science experiments with the Nutty Professor! Located outside behind the depot. In the case of bad weather, we will relocate to Central Park Pavilion.
  • Every Thursday @ 2 pm – Kids Crafts: Come and make cute ocean crafts with us! All ages. Come and go. Leftover craft packets will be available Friday afternoon.
  • Friday, July 1st @ 10 am – *RESCHEDULED* Birds of Prey: Due to a scheduling error, we will now have Birds of Prey on Friday, July 1st at 10 am at Central Park Pavilion. Children will be amazed as they get a close look at these live predators, learn about their importance and why many are endangered.
  • Friday, July 1st @ 2 pm – Solar Cooking: Learn how to make food using the power of the sun! For tweens and teens ages 10 & up. Must be pre-registered. Registration starts May 31st and ends June 30th.
  • Saturday, July 2nd @ 1 pm – Closed for the Fourth of July: The library will close at 1 pm on Saturday, July 2nd for the Fourth of July. The library will reopen Tuesday, July 5th at 9 am.
